Curious12 has been Auckland Castle’s design partner throughout its journey from the early stages of sourcing vital funds to its emergence as a major visitor attraction.
Since 2012, we’ve helped to increase its annual visitor numbers from 800 to beyond the 30,000 mark.
Our Auckland Castle work covers a broad spectrum, from web, exhibition design, large format and illustration to CGI and 3D models. We have also produced film shorts, advertising, printed literature, apps and interactive design with bespoke touchscreen technology.
We ensure the core values of the Auckland Castle brand are never compromised or forgotten. It is a ‘regeneration through heritage’ project at heart, and that message runs through our various campaigns. We have also engaged with local communities to help them take ownership of the attraction.
For generations Bishop Auckland has seen high unemployment while businesses have struggled to survive. By raising awareness of the Auckland Castle project locally, we have established it as a focal point of newfound optimism within the town.
